On Oct 6, Taiyanggou Cultural Industry Park in Lushunkou (Liaoning province) initiated a Golden Autumn Cultural Tourism Season, a promotional campaign with the goal of attracting tourists from home and abroad.

The Taiyanggou Scenic Area is one of China's well-preserved blocks including considerable historical relics and local characteristics. Many significant historical events, like the War of Jiawu (also known as the first Sino-Japanese War) and the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905), took place in this area. There are former residences of Puyi, the last ruler of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Aisin-gioro Shanqi, a Qing Dynasty prince, and the famous Chinese antiquities collector Luo Zhenyu, as well as museums on Manchu and Mongol cultures, Japanese Kwantung Army's headquarters and their high-rank officials' mansions. It has been given the name of "Open-air Architecture Museum of the World".

As a provincial cultural industry experimental park, Taiyanggou Cultual Industry Park has a planned area of 7.5 square kilometers, including a 3.5 sq km core area of conservation and protection. The park is home to about 200 enterprises involving culture, tourism and modern services, forming an industrial cluster with local elements.

This autumn, Xinhua Avenue joined with last year's five sightseeing avenues featuring fallen leaves to offer a 268,000 sq m natural attraction for visitors.
