Located in Southwest China's Guizhou province, Guian New Area is a State-level new area approved by the State Council on Jan 6, 2014.

Thanks to the benefits generated by China's implementation of its Opening-up and Reform policy over the past 40 years, Guian is making greater strides in developing itself into a strategic facilitator of economic growth in western China, an inland highland of open economy, and a demonstration area of ecological civilization.

Up until now, the area has attracted a large number of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises, including Qualcomm, Foxconn, Microsoft and three major Chinese telecommunications operators.
