The cherry blossom park in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province was presented with the Tourism Integrating New Industry Award at the 2018 Guizhou Tourism Brand Awarding Ceremony, held in Guizhou's capital Guiyang on May 19.

The only rewarded tourism attraction in Guian, the park received more than 900,000 visitors during its 13 peak blossom days in March, netting a revenue of 407 million yuan ($63.91 million).

The biggest continuously blossoming cherry plantation in China, the park boasts more than 700,000 flowers. It has blazed a new type of development by integrating natural landscape, leisure agriculture and unique cultures.

The park will upgrade several infrastructural facilities as its next-step, including the walking trail and the entrance and reception center, which will be expanded. The park intends to develop into a culture park with cherry blossom-themed camping and night touring.
