Invitation exhibition of woodblock paintings opens in WND

A woodblock painting invitation exhibition raised its curtain at the Song 1969 Museum in Wuxi New District, or Xinwu district, in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Dec 7 and will run until Dec 20.
The exhibition features 84 works by renowned artists from Jiangsu and other provinces, which combine artistic and ideological aspects of contemporary woodblock painting.

Audiences can not only appreciate the unique beauty of woodblock paintings up close but also experience the cultural landmarks and history of Xinwu district through interactive installations.

On the same day, participating artists also attended a meeting to discuss the integration of art and technology, aiming to explore how to harness the power of technology to develop and promote the art of woodblock painting.
This exhibition provides woodblock painting artists with a platform to showcase and exchange ideas. It also serves to promote the preservation of excellent traditional Chinese culture, facilitate collaboration between schools and local authorities, advance the artform among the public, and enhance communication among artists.
