Intl ethnic music festival lands in Wuxi

The Erquan Yingyue Wuxi International Ethnic Music Festival recently commenced at Huishan Ancient Town in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province.
Over the following six days, ethnic musicians worldwide are expected to present excellent performances to residents and visitors at 308 Hall and multiple scenic spots in the ancient town.

Speaking of the special bond between Huishan Ancient Town and ethnic music, the most well-known is the Second Spring Under Heaven and The Moon Reflected on the Second Spring, known as China's Fate Symphony.

In 1950, Professors Yang Yinliu and Cao Anhe from the Central Conservatory of Music came to Wuxi to record the melodies from renowned erhu player Ah Bing (1893-1950). The Moon Reflected on the Second Spring was one of the six recorded pieces.
