The Internationalization Development Training and Match-making Event for Hefei Enterprises was held in Hefei, co-hosted by Hefei municipal foreign affairs office, GUiTEK Service Platform, Plug and Play China, and Hefei Scenario Application Innovation Promotion Center.
The morning training sessions concentrated on strategic international expansion, offering local businesses detailed guidance for worldwide growth.
Key speakers, including Shi Nan, founder of Chance Consulting, discussed the opportunities and challenges Chinese enterprises face in the global arena. Experts from KPMG provided practical advice on investment logic and tax planning.
The event underscored Grand Union of Innovation (GUi)'s role in facilitating connections between global enterprises and international resources through its extensive global network.
GUi has developed an international cooperation system that integrates foreign trade, investment, outsourcing, foreign economic relations, and international talent. It also created a model that integrates global partners, overseas innovation centers, and funding networks.
It operates innovation centers in six cities abroad and 17 innovation liaison stations, expanding its reach to over 600 global alumni networks from prestigious universities such as Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The event also provided practical opportunities for going global. Companies like Sinobid (Tianjin) Consulting & Service Co and industry leader Lubrizol shared specific business needs, such as international public procurement.
Furthermore, GUi's partnership with the Anhui Provincial Association for Science and Industry Integration Innovation has been key in linking the innovation chain with the industrial chain and broadening Hefei's global presence.
The association, founded in June, promotes the integration of technology, academia, and industry, creating a comprehensive innovation network that covers market, research and development, engineering, and industry sectors, with GUiTEK serving as the secretariat.
Anhui and Hefei, with GUi as the hub, are developing a comprehensive service ecosystem, including policy guidance, resource access, risk alerts, and innovation support for global business ambitions.
