The Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) hosted a special program that brought its global partners into the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and leading enterprises in East China's Anhui province on Sept 16.
They visited the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the Institute of Dataspace at the science center, and the renewable power producer Sungrow's Zero Carbon Center.
More than 80 participants — including partners, entrepreneurs, and corporate representatives — took part in the event in an effort to deepen collaboration through site visits and project matchmaking.
The tour began at the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, where participants explored cutting-edge research and applications in fields such as digital twins, autonomous driving, and intelligent navigation.
A trial ride in a self-driving shuttle offered a glimpse into the future of smart mobility. At the Institute of Dataspace, major breakthroughs in data-driven technologies highlighted their role in industrial upgrading.
The delegation then visited Sungrow's headquarters and its Zero Carbon Center. Company representatives introduced innovations in renewable energy equipment and smart energy, followed by scenario-based presentations and the sharing of opportunities.

Nine projects were showcased, spanning perovskite photovoltaics, mobile energy storage, dry electrode technology, carbon anode materials, hydrogen-ion batteries, smart sensors, as well as digital services such as power trading decision systems and manufacturing AI models.
Throughout the day, partners had fruitful discussions with entrepreneurs and investors. Multiple rounds of business matchmaking resulted in preliminary cooperation agreements.
This initiative not only strengthened the integration of GUi's global partners into Hefei's innovation ecosystem but also provided a high-level platform for exchanges. Participants left with a deeper appreciation of the city's scientific and industrial strengths and identified tangible opportunities for joint development.
