The 2025 World Manufacturing Convention, held from Sept 20 to 23 in Hefei, witnessed the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) emerging as a beacon of innovation in the manufacturing sector. The event showcased its robust local ecosystem, efficient integration of regional resources, and strategic global networking.
During the convention, GUi hosted nine events attracting international attention. Entrepreneurs from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region sought technological partnerships, while delegations from Japan and Russia explored development experiences.
A range of cutting-edge technologies from enterprises based in the GUi took center stage. Anhui Easpeed Technology, a Tech company, exhibited its holographic imaging technology, demonstrating pioneering applications.
He Li, vice president of GUiTEK Service Platform, shared his insights on connecting technological research to industry. GUi offers an incubation platform and integrates resources across technology transfer, enterprise incubation, and venture investment to promote innovation flow.

The speech was followed by a matchmaking activity where bio-manufacturing projects sought industrialization pathways.
On Sept 21, GUi's roadshow hall became a hub for Anhui enterprises to present their manufacturing achievements, attracting Hong Kong businesses in search of technological partners.
Hong Kong, a global financial and biopharmaceutical hub, offers capital, talent, and market resources, while Anhui provides industrialization and cost benefits.
A comprehensive cooperation system between Anhui and Hong Kong, covering commercialization, enterprises, talent, and capital, has been formed to join hands and forge ahead toward the global market.
GUi has also applied this collaboration model to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the Greater Bay Area.
In terms of international network, GUi has established innovation centers in six overseas cities and multiple overseas liaison offices to connect to global projects.
"We aim to explore the co-creation of international talent-industry-research partnerships, establish an overseas investment fund system, and encourage local enterprises to expand globally," said Zhang Liye, executive vice-president of GUiTEK, at the matchmaking conference for Anhui's emerging industries and multinational enterprises.
GUi is poised to become a pivotal player in the global manufacturing landscape, fostering international collaboration and innovation.
