Zhongke Kele launches major EPOE project in GUi

Hefei Zhongke Kele New Material Company, a key enterprise in the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), held a ceremony with Dongming Petrochemical to launch its ethylene-based polyolefin elastomer (EPOE) project.

The project is the first in the country to adopt self-developed advanced catalyst technology and innovative processing technology, which can turn out 300,000 tonnes of the material per year.

It marks a major leap forward for China's high-end polyolefin industry to break technology monopolies and enhance the nation's position in the new energy materials sector.

Attendees praised the project's technological innovations, highlighting breakthroughs in processes, equipment, and management that place it at the forefront of global standards.

Such production capacity meets the growing demand for high-performance materials from industries including photovoltaic encapsulation and new energy vehicles. This technological and business feat not only enhances product performance but also stimulates the domestic polyolefin industry.

Founded in 2022 with GUi’s incubation and investment support, Zhongke Kele focuses on developing high-end polyolefin catalysts and materials, achieving independent control over core technologies. With its headquarters in GUi's core area in Hefei High-tech Zone, the company continues to drive technological innovation, contributing to the advancement of China's new energy materials industry.
