GUi becomes global square for innovation and research

Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) stands as a hub for researchers and innovators, driven by a blend of strategic initiatives, cutting-edge research facilities, and robust support systems.

Since its inception, GUi has been focusing on transforming innovation into commercial products and catalyzing new industries. Science Island, a key component of this innovation incubating space, houses several prestigious research institutes under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has made significant breakthroughs in nuclear fusion energy, strong magnetic fields, atmospheric optics, and cancer drugs.

Local companies benefit from proximity to Science Island, leveraging its research outputs. For example, breakthroughs in non-contact sensor technology have led to the development of advanced, cost-effective products, ending the monopoly imposed by foreign companies.

"Our business is growing rapidly," said Chen Songnian, the chief executive of Hefei Guizhuan Electromagnetics, "Our previous office and lab space were too small for our development. Now, with the support of GUi, our office and lab areas have tripled.”

GUi also provides substantial support to startups and established enterprises alike. Companies receive dedicated policy and financial backing, including equity investments and technology credit loans. This support is crucial for their rapid expansion and success.

“After understanding our needs, GUi quickly helped our team resolve issues related to planning, equity, funding, talent, project development, and market access,” another executive in GUi praised.

Thanks to the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), GUi can access its extensive global alumni network to attract top talent.
