GUi unveils new center in Zhejiang

On May 21, the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) Zhejiang Center was officially inaugurated in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The ceremony saw the participation of key figures from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) Alumni Association, the GUiTEK service platform, and representatives from various university alumni associations and investment institutions.

Zhao Lin, the deputy director of USTC's liaison and funding affairs office and secretary general of the Alumni Association; Fan Jiangang, the honorary president of the Zhejiang Alumni Association; Zhang Liye, the vice president of the GUiTEK service platform; and Tu Pingke, CEO of Zhejiang Dake Alumni Sci-Tech Development Company, presided over the unveiling.

Located in the core area of Xihu district, the center aims to facilitate the adaptation of innovative achievements, enterprise incubation, industry catalysis, and optimize the innovation environment. It is set to become a vital platform for alumni innovation internationally, bridging resources and opportunities between Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta.

Preparation of the center began in November 2023 and was completed by May 2024. The facility is designed to serve as an important display window and resource connection station for GUi and Hefei.

The event also included the signing of strategic cooperation agreements between Zhejiang Dake Alumni Sci-Tech Development Company and several partners.

The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of the USTC Zhejiang Alumni Association Activity Base, as another reach in the collaboration and innovation efforts spearheaded by GUi.
