Mayor of Hefei calls for all-around advancement of GUi

Luo Yunfeng, mayor of Hefei, chaired a meeting on March 26 regarding the development of Grand Union of Innovation (GUi).

During the meeting, he emphasized the concerted efforts of provincial, municipal, and academic entities in propelling GUi forward, leading to an expanding network of partnerships and projects.

 Underlining the significance of fostering new quality productive forces, Luo stressed the need for continued reform in scientific and technological systems, advocating for seamless integration across innovation, industry, capital, and talent, all as an effort for the establishment of an eminent international innovation hub.

Recognized for its international reach, GUi is positioned as a vital nexus for attracting high-end global innovation resources. The mayor emphasized the imperative of cross-department coordination and the establishment of effective collaborative mechanisms.

To hold the unique strengths of GUi, the city's policies are being refined to enhance the innovation ecosystem and promote urban renewal alongside technological advancements. This includes accelerating the development of high-quality infrastructure and ensuring adequate support for talent and entrepreneurship. Luo also underscored GUi's efficient management.

The leading group of GUi is asked to advance the implementation, enhancing overall coordination, refining regulations, strengthening standardized management, and promoting the integrated development of GUiPark. Efforts should be focused on bolstering and optimizing the service platform, cultivating all-around management and operational capabilities, to provide robust support and assurance for the development of GUi.
