GUi's financial service empowers innovation in 2023

In 2023, the Grand Union of Innovation in Hefei, Anhui province, prioritized capital empowerment, catalyzing smoother enterprise growth and the transformation of innovative resources.

With a strategic focus on innovation, GUi facilitated the infusion of financial resources, launching various financial products tailored for startups and innovative ventures.

Throughout the year, GUi implemented diverse initiatives, channeling a financial guidance fund amounting to 30 billion yuan ($4.17 billion). This effort involved the operation of 13 sub-funds, leading to the approval of 16 direct-investment projects.

Under its system of science and technology financial service, GUi's startup loans attracted over 60 entrepreneurial teams, disbursing loans exceeding 33.45 million yuan. 

Additionally, GUi's innovation empowerment loans provided 92.1 million yuan in credit to 34 technology and innovation-driven enterprises, while entrepreneurship loans extended credit totaling 149 million yuan to 38 companies.

By leveraging financial capital, GUi fostered a positive cycle between technology, industry and finance sectors, resulting in an amplification effect and aggregating over 4.6 billion yuan in funds. This endeavor promoted the nurturing of local firms and attracted projects, primarily focusing on angel round investment and pre-Series A rounds.

Through collaborative efforts with global partners and fund managers, GUi constructed a synergetic network of fund service, facilitating the utilization of various guided sub-funds and the signing of memorandum of understanding, bolstering partnerships and advancing project landings.

Looking ahead, GUi remains committed to serving project development, covering a wide spectrum from providing capital support to fostering science and technology-oriented small and medium enterprises, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and finance.
