Grand Union of Innovation (GUI) unveiled an impressive report, showcasing its rapid development as a global innovation powerhouse.
Last year, GUI attracted over 800 new technology projects, including 113 national high-tech enterprises and 265 high-growth companies like gazelles and unicorns. More than 10,000 skilled professionals and entrepreneurs joined its thriving ecosystem, further solidifying its reputation as a hub for cutting-edge innovation.
Staying true to its vision of gathering global innovation resources, GUI established six overseas innovation alliances through partnerships with institutions such as Stanford and Harvard. With nine international innovation centers launched in Silicon Valley, Lyon, Tokyo, and more, GUI successfully secured 22 overseas projects. Additionally, 28 global partners were recruited, introducing over 120 companies to explore Hefei's investment opportunities.
To advance technology commercialization, GUI implemented pioneering equity mechanisms like grant-to-stock and stock-to-bond models, enabling smoother transitions from research to market. Collaborations with major research institutions resulted in the incubation of 10 high-value technology enterprises, driving advancements in key industries.
GUI's 2023 milestones underscore its role as a catalyst for global collaboration, talent growth, and industrial innovation, firmly establishing itself as a leader in science and technology transformation.
