Chinese Tech Network Event takes place in US Silicon Valley

The first session of the year of the Chinese Tech Network Event – an innovation and entrepreneurship conference – was held in California's Silicon Valley on Jan 26 by the leading Silicon Valley incubator Plug & Play and the GUI Innovation Center in Silicon Valley.

The Grand Union of Innovation or GUI is a tech innovation service hub based in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.

Xu Jieping, CEO of Plug & Play China, gave a briefing on the GUI – which is committed to being a hub of tech innovation and a cluster of emerging industries. For global entrepreneurs, it's a highland noteworthy for its innovative projects and talent teams.

The event attracted the participation of 15 venture capital institutions, 50 leading startups and over 500 top Chinese scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and innovation leaders. The event was live-streamed on three platforms, attracting over 5,000 viewers.

It focused on how to support the internationalization of technology startups, as well as how the Chinese innovation ecosystem and the GUI could provide support and empowerment for global projects and talent teams.

In addition, the event also explored the development trends of artificial intelligence in 2024.

Dr Chen Xiaochun, co-founder of Plug & Play China and president of the World Federation of United Nations Associations or WFUNA, focused on international entrepreneurship and issued an in-depth analysis and outlook of current trends.

In the GUI special showcase session at the event, the staff of the GUI Innovation Center in Silicon Valley held in-depth exchanges with the heads of sci-tech innovation projects.

They answered the questions of international entrepreneurs, who came to learn about the innovation and entrepreneurship environment in Hefei city and the investment opportunities and supportive policies of the GUI.

They said they will continue to support and promote innovative projects and talent teams that intend to develop in Hefei city.

Moving forwards, plans are for the GUI Innovation Center in Silicon Valley this year to continue to help more outstanding overseas innovative projects and talent teams connect with the Chinese market and to accelerate the internationalization of local innovative enterprises in Hefei.
