The Grand Union of Innovation – a tech innovation hub in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, in Hefei city in East China's Anhui province – signed a landmark accord recently.
It inked a strategic cooperation agreement in Chongqing with the University of Science and Technology of China's alumni associations in Chongqing, as well as those in Guizhou and Yunnan provinces.
The agreement focused on resource sharing, complementary strengths and joint development. It was signed before a forum hosted by USTC Alumni Association's Chongqing branch.
Participating in the forum were more than 200 people – including executives from the Grand Union of Innovation and Hefei-based tech group iFlytek, along with representatives from Peking University and Tsinghua University alumni associations.
The forum included keynote speeches and roundtable discussions on quantum computing, artificial intelligence and technology transfers.
During the event, the delegation of the Grand Union of Innovation also visited the Chongqing Mingyuehu Collaborative Innovation Research Institute, fostering discussions on policies, resources and investment.
As USTC actively advances its move to establish a world-class university, its collaboration with the Grand Union of Innovation aims to benefit students, engage alumni and support local initiatives.
