The China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) has acted in the wake of the recent deadly fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong, which caused significant casualties and the great loss of property.
The CDPF organized the China Foundation for Disabled Persons and the China Council of Lions Clubs — a CDPF-affiliated social organization — to raise 4 million yuan to support Hong Kong's emergency relief, temporary resettlement and post-disaster recovery efforts.
The CDPF will continue to closely follow the progress of relief work in Hong Kong, mobilizing and coordinating resources to support persons with disabilities and their families affected by the disaster, helping them overcome this challenging period.
