On Aug 20, the Chinese delegation for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games held its mobilization conference in Beijing. Cheng Kai, head of the Chinese delegation, chairman of the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) and president of the National Paralympic Committee of China, attended and spoke at the conference.

Cheng urged the team to maintain strong discipline and high spirits, finish their competitions with full dedication and strive to achieve new success at the Paris Paralympics. He also stressed the need for meticulous management and detailed measures to ensure safety of athletes. Cheng called on all Chinese athletes to uphold high standards of ethics and integrity during the Games, embodying the optimistic and resilient spirit of people with disabilities in China, while actively building friendship with their foreign counterparts.
Liu Guoyong, deputy director of the General Administration of Sport of China, encouraged athletes to tackle challenges with determination, and to strive to excel in competitions.
Zhou Changkui, executive head of the Chinese delegation and director of the CDPF executive council, emphasized the need to put athletes at the center while participating in the Games, and to achieve outstanding performance in both sports and integrity. He also highlighted the importance of effective leadership and support from the Party committee and officials to ensure smooth competition preparations.

The Paris 2024 Paralympics, the 11th Paralympics that the Chinese athletes take part in, will be held from Aug 28 to Sept 8 in France. The Chinese Paralympic delegation will depart for Paris in two batches starting on Aug 21.
