The Chinese sports delegation has completed all events at the 20th Winter Deaflympics held in Erzurum, Turkey, as of 22:00 on March 11 local time, winning seven gold medals, seven silver medals, and six bronze medals. The delegation ranks first in the medal tally and second in the gold medal tally, surpassing their results of the previous Winter Deaflympics in Italy.
At the event, the Chinese sports delegation achieved multiple breakthroughs in snow sports, with both the snowboarding team and cross-country skiing team winning gold medals for the first time.
The snowboarding team performed exceptionally well, winning five gold medals out of six medal events, along with three silver medals, one bronze medal, and three fourth-place finishes. The cross-country skiing team secured one gold medal, four silver medals, and four bronze medals. In addition, the team won one fifth-place finish, one sixth-place finish, and two seventh-place finishes in the alpine skiing event, seeing an improvement over the previous results.
The men's curling team won gold for the third time in the Winter Deaflympics, while the women's team secured a bronze medal. The mixed doubles team, competing for the first time, finished in fourth place.
