The national ice and snow sports season for people with disability kicked off in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Jan 22, 2024.
Against the picturesque backdrop of blue skies and white snow, over 300 persons with disabilities, together with their relatives and friends, gathered at the event venue and participated in ice and snow events, including ice crawling, snow field hockey, snow soccer, and snow tug of war, fully enjoying the thrill of winter sports.
Throughout the national ice and snow sports season, the China Disabled Persons' Federation plans to hold key events in the Northeast, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Southwest regions. In addition, a series of activities, including a winter sports carnival, will be held to promote disabled people's participation in ice and snow sports.

Since its inception in 2016, the ice and snow sports season for people with disability has become a signature winter event for disabled people to enjoy winter sports and take part in fitness activities. The event is organized by the China Disabled Persons' Federation, with the Heilongjiang provincial disabled persons' federation as the host and the Harbin municipal disabled persons' federation as the co-host.
