More cultural service and activities for people of disability

From June to October, the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe performed 105 shows of the newly staged large-scale situational audio-visual drama "Thousand-armed, thousand-eyed" at the Dunhuang Grand Theatre in Dunhuang, Gansu province. [Photo/cdpf.org.cn]  

The Second National Conference on Reading was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on April 23, 2023. During the conference, a reading rights protection forum was held for the first time, focusing on safeguarding the basic reading rights of special groups and promoting the implementation and publicity of the Marrakesh Treaty in China, to better ensure the cultural rights of people with dyslexia in the country.

From June to October, the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe performed 105 shows of the newly staged large-scale situational audio-visual drama "Thousand-armed, thousand-eyed" at the Dunhuang Grand Theatre in Dunhuang, Gansu province. They also conducted a 24-show tour at the grassroots level, bringing cultural service to the grassroots communities and to the doorstep of people of disability.

On Nov 30, "my Dream, the code of life", a themed gala for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, was held at the Theatre of the Beijing Exhibition Center, which was organized by the China Disabled Persons' Federation and hosted by the China Special Art Direction Center for the Disabled.

On Dec 3, the China Association of Persons with Visual Disabilities and the China Braille Press held the "seeing tomorrow" public benefit concert to commemorate the 70th anniversary of their establishment.
