A promotional meeting for the "beautiful workshop", a project to help women of disability find jobs and increase income, was held in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Nov 29, 2023.
At the meeting, the first group of beautiful workshops, 55 in total, was unveiled.
The employment and income enhancement project for women of disability was jointly initiated by the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the All-China Women's Federation, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Rural Revitalization Administration.
The project plans to launch 100 such workshops during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), and is expected to support more than 10,000 women of disability.
