Updated: Jan 18, 2018 Print

A matchmaking meeting targeting businesses involved in the robotics industry and artificial intelligence (AI) was held in Harbin on Jan 12.

Jointly sponsored by HIT Robot Group and Golden Jumping Group, the event saw the attendance of around 100 scholars and business representatives from China and South Korea, including those from the South Korea Robots Research Institute, Handong Global University, and Harbin Institute of Technology.

Experts and scholars discussed topics such as research and development, production, investment, and trade in robots and AI products at a forum held the same day.

As a result of the event, HIT Robot Group and Golden Jumping Group signed agreements to settle in the South Korea Scientific and Technology Industry Park in Gyeonggi-do, which is located in the center of the Korean peninsula.

The industrial park will serve as a high-tech cooperation platform between China and South Korea, pushing forward the development of AI technologies for both sides.
